News: iTunes Festival Popping Up on Apple TV Early

As reported by Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac, it seems Apple wanted to make sure everyone had their iTunes Festival app before September 1.  iTunes Festival is an annual music festival at London’s Roundhouse.  Just like last year, the festival is streamed live and on-demand via an iOS app, iTunes, or the Apple TV.  If it’s not appearing right away, the Apple TV just needs a restart, much like the Hulu Plus update last month…

News: Federighi & Riccio Become Senior VPs, Mansfield to Stay

After news back in June that Apple’s senior vice president of engineering, Bob Mansfield, was retiring, it seems he’s not, but will actually take on a new role at the company. Additionally, a press release from the company shares that Craig Federighi and Dan Riccio, two vice presidents of engineering, will be bumped to senior vice presidents, joining the executive management team…
