On some old episode of SchwarzTech Radio, Matt quipped about Steve Ballmer pushing older Windows tablets with, “Look at all these great tablets!” and nobody bought them. I had a feeling this was going to be much like that again, but the fact that Microsoft is making the hardware and put a lot of work in the design, this may be something to keep an eye on. Although I’m not jumping to the iPad-is-doomed camp, this may be the biggest threat to the iPad yet, as long as Microsoft prices it competitively. It’s a bit concerning they couldn’t confirm pricing, specs, or ship dates.
