News: Apple Announces Event for Next Wednesday

As expected, Apple will be putting on an event next Wednesday, September 12. Many expect this event to include iOS 6 and a new iPhone, and based on the invitation, it most likely will be called the iPhone 5. The event was confirmed by Jim Dalyrimple of The Loop and will take place at 10AM Pacific at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

The graphic of the invitation is a little less interesting, especially when you look at last year’s iPhone event or March’s iPad event, but does have a giant and somewhat foggy “12” in Helvetica (Neue) with a “5” as its shadow. Above that is the text, “It’s almost here.”
