News: iPad Event to Be Held on March 7 in San Francisco

Although there was plenty of speculation, we finally can say that the next iPad will arrive in a week from tomorrow. Apple has sent out invitations to the usual suspects in the press for an event and it also sounds pretty cookie-cutter for an Apple event: 10AM Pacific, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

The invite itself doesn’t offer much other than the tagline, “We have something you really have to see. And touch,” mixed with a closeup of an obviously higher-resolution iPad display.

Some nice touches are the calendar set to Wednesday the 7th, the Maps app, and the Keynote app—a bit along the lines of the iPhone 4S invite.
