News: “Back to the Mac” Event on October 20

With all the talk about iOS devices, many were wondering if Apple was even going to do anything for Mac OS X in the near future. According to a number of sources, Apple has sent out invitations to the press for an event entitled “Back to the Mac” on October 20.

The invitation does not include much, but does suggest that the next version of Mac OS X may have something to do with lions, coinciding with Apple’s naming scheme of major Mac OS X versions. In addition, speculations include updates to Apple’s MacBook Pro models and the MacBook Air, all due for a refresh.
