News: Think Secret Closes Doors

In a somewhat surprising move just minutes ago, the infamous Apple rumor site Think Secret has announced that it will be shutting down because of the lawsuit between Apple and the site.

The press release states:

Apple and Think Secret have settled their lawsuit, reaching an agreement that results in a positive solution for both sides. As part of the confidential settlement, no sources were revealed and Think Secret will no longer be published. Nick Ciarelli, Think Secret’s publisher, said “I’m pleased to have reached this amicable settlement, and will now be able to move forward with my college studies and broader journalistic pursuits.”

All we have to say is that it’s unfortunate that the site is shutting down, as everyone loves a good Mac rumor now and then, but it looks like this is for the best—Apple gets to keep Ciarelli’s mouth shut and he gets to keep his money and his source secret.
