Review: Paag Pak

by on April 28, 2005

A few months ago, we reviewed the Foofpod, a stylish alternative to most of the other iPod cases. It seems that many more plush iPod cases are popping up, including the Paag Pak, a US-made version with a few distinct differences.

Depending on the design, the Paag Pak will put you back anywhere between $21.95 and $29.95. Current designs include the Signature quilted design, the fuzzy Chewbacca Puff, Liquid Shadow (which would fit in on The Matrix), the camo Incognito, Tao Butterfly, and Zen Citrus.

The Paag Pak is a very simple case. You can’t control the iPod easily from within the case, unless you use a remote. You can’t see the screen, either. Furthermore, on all models except Chewbacca Puff, a side pocket provides a place to store the earbuds.

The inner lining of the Paag pak is black quilted satin, providing a scratch-free environment for your iPod.

The fleece, velvet, signature, and faux fur models can be machine washed (cold on delicate mode), while the patent or silk models can only be dry cleaned. Ironing is discouraged for all models.

We found the Paag Pak did a fine job of keeping the iPod clean and protected against drops and stuff in your pocket. It’s simple, elegant, and universal. It’s perfect for those who remove their iPods for use with docks or speaker systems.

The Paag Pak is a great alternative to many other cases, especially because of its unique patterns and earbud pocket. If the designs of the Foofpod aren’t to your liking, the Paag Pak might be for you.

The One-Sentence Verdictâ„¢

The Paag Pak is a quality, hand-made case, that provides competition for Apple’s iPod Socks and the Foofpod.
