Although we often see the carriers as money-grubbing jerks, it would be nice to see this come to market. AT&T’s messaging packages are cheaper for families, even if by only a few bucks/month, so I think this would push a lot of people to move more lines on an account to iPhones:

But [AT&T’s Mobile CEO Ralph] de la Vega was far more confident yesterday. He said the company knows how the plan would be structured. He, however, declined to provide any specific details on timing, and wouldn’t comment on whether it would be out in the next few months or if AT&T would beat Verizon Wireless to the punch.
