Snippet: Because It Worked So Well for HP ☇

Shared on February 27, 2012

Dell CEO Michael Dell announced the company wants to focus on enterprise IT, much like IBM has and HP wanted to:

“It’s not really a PC company, it’s an end-to-end IT company that really understands the needs of its customers.”

That seems reasonable enough, but the tone from others seems like possible claim chowder waiting to happen:

Introducing his colleague, Forrest Norrod, general manager of Dell’s server platforms business; Praveen Asthana, vice president of enterprise solutions and strategy at Dell quipped: “Forrest is going to come here on a scooter because his leg is sore from kicking HP’s ass.”
