Snippet: Cleartones ☇

In the pre-iPhone years, I complained about ringtones, and have caved a bit as far as extra sounds and song clips, but I came across a collection, called Cleartones, designed to be used as alerts or ringtones and not be embarrassing in public (via Patrick Rhone):

Cleartones offers sets of elegant, hand made minimalist ringtones and notification tones for the serious user.

As someone who had numerous audio projects in college, I can attest to the difficulty of collecting perfect audio clips of strange sounds. These are not only well-recorded and edited, but there are almost too many choices. Quite a few also sound really good on the iPhone’s tiny speaker.
