Harry Marks tears Donald Bell from CNet a new one on the idea that Apple should not only discontinue the iPod touch, but somehow replace it with a bigger iPad-esque device. To set the stage, here’s the teaser from Bell’s piece:

If it were anyone else’s product, the iPod Touch would be considered a runaway success. But as part of Apple’s iOS dream team, it’s an underachiever that should fall on its own sword.
