Snippet: Thinking Small ☇
Once again, Horace Dediu from Asymco is back with his charts and graphs:
The irony is that by thinking small, Apple became the biggest company that ever was.
In context, this mindset is really what makes Apple of today so much different than the failing Apple of the 1990s. If you looked at the lineup during that time, many machines were being sold as three or more different varied entities, depending on the retail channel and the included goodies. Many PC manufacturers are still following this logic. Having a lineup that you can explain to a non-technical person just makes sense.
